¿Por qué los docentes hoy en día deberíamos considerar la actualización de nuestras clases para satisfacer las necesidades de los estudiantes del siglo XXI?

Estamos frente a una nueva era en lo que se refiere no sólo a la educación , sino a  una nueva y dinámica etapa de la sociedad en general. Esto afecta no sólo cómo nos enfrentamos como maestros al proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje, va más allá y tiene que ver en cómo la cultura (el ser humano) se ha tenido que ir adaptando y buscando respuestas para resolver y enfrentar diferentes problemas.

   Como nos explican en el video lo que pareciera un problema actual , realmente ha sido un reto constante, una continua búsqueda del ser humano por encontrar respuestas y facilitarse el camino para hacerlo. Hemos logrado dar y tener acceso a un infinito número de información, lo que antes era posible para unos cuantos, ahora se nos presenta como una red interminable y con acceso para casi cualquier persona.

 
     

Cambios a la estructura de los salones de clase

El reto de enfrentar y aprovechar al máximo lo que nos ofrece esta "nueva era de la información" depende de qué camino y estrategias tomemos para acceder. Es nuestra obligación como maestros no sólo a preocuparnos de las innovaciones que se nos presentan con el avance de la tecnología, debemos crear una cultura nueva a partir de esto. Debemos buscar construir y solidificar esa información; marcar caminos claros para que nuestros alumnos encuentren lo que necesiten, cuando lo necesiten.

 
      Lograr esto no es fácil, ya que debemos cambiar nuestra perspectiva, nuestra forma de acercarnos a nuestros alumnos , debemos buscar ser guías, mentores, contextualizar el aprendizaje para que éste pueda ser aplicado y se vuelva así un aprendizaje significativo. Uno de nuestras principales funciones deberían ser, no solo dar información o acceso a ésta, sino enseñar  "Modelos de información" que puedan ser aplicables bajo cualquier contexto, sin importar el lugar y tiempo. Si logramos esto entonces podremos despreocuparnos qué tanta información se genera día con día, ya que nuestros alumnos tendrán en sus manos la herramienta más valiosa que es " El crear ".

 
    Seremos necesarios para nuestros alumnos mientras cuidemos nuestra relación con ellos, mientras seamos no sólo informantes, sino una pieza más en su arduo camino de encontrar lo que cada uno de ellos anhela (diferenciación).

   
   

Habilidades a desarrollar

Me he convencido de la importancia de permitirnos como maestros experimentar con todo aquello que la tecnología nos ofrece (toda clase de programas y dispositivos electrónicos). Esto nos ayudará, por que así lo he comprobado a hablar un lenguaje más común con nuestros alumnos, también enriquecerá nuestro salón de clases, lo volverá más dinámico y sobre todo será nuestra herramienta principal para lograr lo que todo maestro busca "Resolver problemas de una forma eficaz". Nos será más fácil encontrar lo que queremos, cuando lo necesitemos. Nuestro salón será el puente de enlace entre lo que queremos enseñar y lo que realmente importa enseñar. Facilitaremos el acceso no sólo a más información; seremos los creadores junto con nuestros alumnos de una nueva cultura lista a responder a las necesidades de esta era.

 
    Como maestra he podido comprobar lo importante que es el dotar a nuestros alumnos de herramientas y nuevas habilidades que estoy segura se les demandará el día que se enfrenten al mundo laboral.

   Somos los responsables de abrir estas nuevas puertas en nuestros salones y de buscar en esta relación maestro-alumno el mejor camino para que ellos autoconstruyan su propio conocimiento.

We are facing a new era in regard not only to education but to a dynamic new stage of society in general. This affects not only how we face as teachers to the teaching-learning process , goes further and has to do with how the culture (the human being ) has had to adapt and looking for answers to solve and face different problems.
   As we explain in the video what seems an ongoing problem , it really has been a constant challenge , an ongoing human quest for answers and provided the way to do it. We have managed to provide and have access to an infinite number of information, which was previously possible for a few, now presents us with an endless network with access to almost anyone.
 
The challenge to face and make the most of what gives us this "new information age " depends on which path to take and access strategies . It is our duty as teachers to not only worry about the innovations we are presented with the advancement of technology, we must create a new culture from this. We seek to build and solidify that information; make clear pathways for our students to find what they need, when they need it.
 
      Achieving this is not easy, and that we must change our perspective, the way we approach our students , we must seek to be guides , mentors, learning context so that it can be applied and thus become meaningful learning. One of our main roles should be not only to information or access to it , but to teach " information models " that may be applicable in any context , regardless of place and time. If we do this then we can stop worrying how much information is generated every day , because our students will have in their hands the most valuable tool is the " create " .
 
    We will be necessary for our students while we take care of our relationship with them, while we not only informants , but a piece in their arduous journey to find what each yearns ( differentiation).

 I have become convinced of the importance of allowing us as teachers experiment with everything that technology offers us ( all the programs and electronic devices).
